GP Dr Jordan Sandral discusses travel vaccinations on radio 2GB
Australians are known as avid world travellers with more than 9.5 million annual business, holiday, or reunion trips overseas each year, and to increasingly exotic locations.
However while many deadly diseases have been mostly eradicated here in Australia thanks to vaccines, in many developing nations and other countries diseases like measles, malaria, yellow fever and hepatitis A are still a risk.
General Practitioners are a great source of information about our health when travelling.
Fox Valley Medical and Dental Centre at Sydney Adventist Hospital offer travel consultations and GP Dr Jordan Sandral joined 2GB's John Stenley to discuss how to minimise the risk of falling ill while travelling as well as what we should be doing in advance.
