Heartfelt messages of appreciation and thanks from local students at Brigidine College St Ives
In a remarkable and poignant show of community support, staff at the San and the San Day Surgery Hornsby have been sent close to 100 heartfelt messages of appreciation and thanks from local students at Brigidine College St Ives.
The personally written and illustrated messages from year 7 to year 12 students at the school express the students understanding of the pressure on doctors and nurses and other healthcare workers during the COVID 19 crisis and their thanks and their appreciation.
The students recognise the long hours, the times away from family, the challenges of appropriate protective equipment, the global nature of the crisis, the life changing and life-saving work of the teams, while remaining positive and affirming.
To allow a real appreciation of the heartfelt and heart-warming tributes, Adventist HealthCare has curated the messages into 2 short video loops to highlight the soulful and insightful thoughts and words.
The depth of the students compassion and empathy for the work of healthcare workers is humbling.
The videos are a lovely addition to the AHCL Staff Week celebrations held this week to coincide with International Nurses Day.
