God of Hope exhibition launch
The God of Hope Exhibition was launched at the Hospital in December with a range of artworks on display across level 4 of Clifford and Clark towers.
The exhibition, sponsored by the South Pacific Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church includes a range of photographs and paintings and an Adventist Media produced film, "God of Hope" showcasing the creativity and spirituality of three of the photographers whose artwork is featured in the Exhibition.
Approximately 100 San staff, local community and members of Adventist Media celebrated the launch.
The launch evening began with a short video highlighting the power and fulfilment of prayer and a speech from AHCL Brett Goods on the importance of Mission and Prayer at the San.
After the documentary, the team from Adventist Media Network who filmed and produced the video shared their experience during a panel discussion. This was then followed by hospital tours to view the artworks.
During the tour guests met with artist Andy Collis who was commissioned to paint portraits of long serving and much revered former Hospital Superintendant Dr Bert Clifford and Rose-Marie Radley. Andy is an award-winning finalist of the Doug Moran prize for his portrait of Lindy Chamberlain.
Artworks are now on display at various areas on level 4 on both the Clark and Clifford towers, while the film is being screened on San TV channel 2 for patients and staff.
